How we do it

Moving house is mostly small things going wrong: a cracked mirror, a missing screw from the bed, a carton nobody can find. Our home shifting work is built around stopping exactly those things.

One team handles your move from start to end. They pack on the day, load our own truck, drive it and unpack at your new home. Nothing goes through a third party.

For a move within the city, packing, loading and unloading usually happen on the same day. For a long-distance move, packing and loading are done on day one, and the truck reaches your new city in 1 to 8 days depending on the distance.

What is included

  • Packing of every room: kitchen, wardrobes, beds, sofa, TV and appliances
  • Bubble wrap, thick cartons, foam sheets and stretch film included in the rate
  • Beds, wardrobes and dining tables taken apart and fitted again
  • Every carton numbered and listed, so you can check it at delivery
  • Unpacking and placing furniture where you want it
  • Old packing material taken away after unpacking

Home shifting, step by step

  1. Survey and written rate

    We see your goods at home or on a video call, ask about floors and lifts at both ends, and send a written rate. The rate does not change on moving day unless the goods change.

  2. Packing room by room

    Our team starts with the kitchen and fragile items, then wardrobes, then furniture. Each carton gets a number and the room name, and goes on a list you keep a copy of.

  3. Furniture and appliances

    Beds and wardrobes are taken apart, and their screws go in a labelled bag taped to the piece. The fridge, washing machine and TV are wrapped in foam and stretch film.

  4. Loading

    Heavy and flat items go in first, cartons on top, fragile cartons last. Everything is tied with ropes so nothing moves on the road.

  5. Delivery and unpacking

    At your new home we unload, check every carton against the list with you, fit the furniture back and unpack the kitchen and fragile cartons.

What changes the price

  • How much you have: a 2 BHK with full furniture costs more than a lightly furnished one
  • Floor and lift: upper floors without a lift take more people and time
  • Distance: within the city, or 100 km, 500 km or 1000+ km away
  • Truck size: a shared truck costs less than a full truck only for your goods
  • Extra services like transit insurance, storage or car transport with the same move

Before your home shifting: a short checklist

  • Book your date 5–7 days ahead, more in March–April and at month ends
  • Get move-out and move-in permission from both societies, if needed
  • Keep cash, jewellery and documents in a separate bag that stays with you
  • Defrost the fridge and drain the washing machine a day before
  • Pack a small bag of daily needs for the first night: clothes, charger, medicines, kitchen basics
  • Click photos of TV and computer wiring so they are easy to reconnect

How many hours does it take to pack a 2 BHK?

A team of 4–5 people packs a normal 2 BHK in 4 to 6 hours. A 3 BHK takes most of the day.

Do I need to empty my wardrobes and kitchen?

No. Leave things as they are. Our team packs clothes, utensils and groceries. Only keep your cash, jewellery and documents with you.

Will you shift my fridge and washing machine safely?

Yes. We wrap them in foam and stretch film and load them standing up. Please switch off and defrost the fridge one day before.

Can I shift on a Sunday or a holiday?

Yes. We work on Sundays and most holidays. These days book out fast, so tell us early.

What if something gets damaged?

Tell us at the time of unpacking. If you took transit insurance, we help you file the claim; for small damage we sort it out directly.

Do you shift plants and aquariums?

We can move potted plants on short local moves. Live fish and aquariums with water are not carried; the tank can be packed once empty.
